Sociedade Filarmônica 25 de Março
A music library organized for the people who manage it and the people who play.
A system that centralizes scores, repertoires and instrumental parts so musicians, directors and administrators can use the collection more easily.

01 · Context
What needed to change
The collection contains a large volume of scores and instrumental parts. Finding, checking and distributing the right material involves different needs for musicians, directors and administrators.
The proposal had to organize this complexity without reducing the work to a folder of files, while keeping a structure adaptable to symphonic bands and orchestras.
02 · Decisions
Turning the collection into a workflow
- 01
Folder and batch uploads
Registration treats sets of files as complete works, reducing repetitive part-by-part imports.
- 02
Instrument recognition
Filenames and metadata help connect each part to the correct instrument, with review when needed.
- 03
Repertoires and distribution
Works can be grouped into programmes and made available to the musicians who need them.
- 04
Missing-part checks
The interface makes it clear what is available and what is missing before a rehearsal or performance.
03 · Solution
A tool for the collection’s everyday use
The system connects registration, search, repertoire organization and access to scores in one experience. Its structure considers the permissions and tasks of both administrators and readers.
The system is implemented and in use by Sociedade Filarmônica 25 de Março. This case demonstrates its flows and capabilities without attributing time savings that have not been measured.
